CEO Message for 2009
They say that the year will not end as it started, I don’t think that there could have been a better truism in describing the year of 2008. The Mining industry has seen the challenges of rapid growth cumulate in 2008 and start to evolve into new challenges for miners and mining service providers in 2009.
The extent of these new challenges may not be quantified for some time , but we do know from experience that they can and will bring a equally rewarding returns if our strategies are right.
One strategy that both miners and service companies will be scrutinising is there business processes to ensure that there are simple, robust and cost effective. – this of course includes Asset Management, there has not been a more critical time where the business of maintenance needs to be simple , robust and cost effective, to ensure that return are maximised out of our plant and equipment.
